Factories and Materials:
At It's Now Cool, we strive to make responsible decisions and minimise our impact on the environment, even if it means sacrificing commercial gain. Our luxury swimwear is produced in a safe and ethical manner and we carefully audit every stage of our supply chain to ensure that we meet our high standards.
Our ethical trade audits aim to ensure that every worker in our supply chain is treated with respect, fairness, and financial security and works in a clean and safe environment. We only work with partners who share our values and principles, and we expect all our partners to promote and demonstrate the same ethical practices up the supply chain. We comply with the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 and are also a member of SEDEX, a global ethical trade member platform that allows businesses like ours to manage risk, meet compliance and provide transparency across our supply chains.
It’s Now Cool are re-evaluating the materials we use to make our product and packaging. Some of our styles currently use regenerated nylon made from fishing net waste. Our paper swing tags and labels and reusable-plastic swimwear packaging are made from recycled materials.
We’ve supported environmental organisations like 1% For the Planet, Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef and WA World Ocean Day and are keen to do more ahead.
We're committed to minimising our production of chemical, plastic, energy, and water usage wherever possible. We challenge ourselves and the social culture surrounding the fashion industry and encourage both retailers and consumers to take a more ethical approach to fashion. We believe that it's more important than ever to make responsible purchase choices and to promote sustainable practices.
We believe that progress comes from acknowledging where we can do better, and we're committed to keeping our customers informed of our journey towards sustainability. We welcome feedback and suggestions from all our stakeholders, as we believe that together, we can make a significant difference in the fashion industry and beyond.
